Αυτό φέρεται να είπε, σύμφωνα με ορισμένες πληροφορίες στον Ουκρανό πρόεδρο Β.Ζελένσκι ο αρχηγός του ουκρανικού Στρατού στρατηγός Oleksandr Syrskyi ο οποίος είχε επισκεφθεί την περιοχή τις προηγούμενες ημέρες.
Είναι άγνωστο πόσοι Ουκρανοί βρίσκονται στο Μπακχμούτ καθώς οι αριθμοί ποικίλουν από 2.500 έως και 12.000.
