Συνελήφθη από τις Ένοπλες Δυνάμεις του Ισραήλ ο υποδιοικητής της Χαμάς, Μουχάμαντ Αμπου Γκάλι.
Η ειδική ομάδα Κομάντο του Ναυτικού με την ονομασία «Σαγιετέτ 13», πραγματοποίησε επιχείρηση στην οποία κατάφερε να συλλάβει τον υποδιοικητή της Χαμάς, μέσα στη Λωρίδα της Γάζας.

Όπως αναφέρουν χαρακτηριστικά «οι ένοπλες δυνάμεις τον κρατούν όμηρο και τον ανακρίνουν» αναφέρει η IDF.
